CANDIDATE FOR WARD ONE

TO OPPOSE SITTING MEMBER (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND. This Day. Delegates of dairy companies in Ward 1 of the Dairy Board held a conference to-day to select a candidate to oppose the sitting members, Mr W. Grounds, at the election next month. A report supplied said that delegates represented sixteen companies with a tonnage equivalent to 23.038 votes. A. ballot was taken, and Mr A. J. Murdoch, M.P., was chosen by a decisive majority.
