POLICEMEN’S RUBBER TRUNCHEONS
DISCARDED IN PRUSSIA , (Unitod Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON. 18th February. “The Times” Berlin correspondent says that the German parallel to heating swords into ploughshares is the conversion of Prussian policemen's rubber truncheons into motor tyres. This is in accord with the current campaign for the use of local instead of imported materials. The primary reason for discarding truncheons was that they are regarded ns unsoldielry. The police still retain revolvers, rifles, and bayonets.
