MAITAI LODGE
QUARTERLY SUMMONED MEETING The quarterly summoned meeting of Maitai Lodge, No. 15, U.A.0.D., was held in the Orange Hall, Collingwood street, last evening. The Arch Druid (Bro. L. Delaney) presided, and there was a very large attendance of members. Correspondence from various sources was received and dealt with, and the bards reported on sick members. An invitation from the Juvenile Lodge No. 19 for member's of Maitai Lodge to be present at their next meeting was accepted. Tlie organising secretary (P.A. Bro. W. W. Delaney) outlined the following programme arranged in connection with tho visit of Druids from the Nelson district to Wellington during Easter: Leave Nelson by steamer on Thursday, 18th April; bus diive on Good Friday afternoon r cricket match for Fletcher Shield on Easter Saturday, to be followed by a reunion in tho evening; picnic at Day’s Bay on Easter Sunday; Easter Monday free for sight-seeing, attend meeting of Pacific Lodge in evening, tho visitors leaving by steamer on return journey at midnight.
A committee was set up to report on remits being submitted by various lodges in the jurisdiction to a meeting of the Grand Lodgo to be held at Auckland next month. The committee will consist of the following: P.D.P. Bro. W. J. Bray, P.A. Bro. C. A. Burn (Grand Lodge delegate), P.A. Bro, P. Smalley, P.A. Bro. W. Fryer, P.A. W. W. Delaney. After the passing of accounts and sick pay, the lodge was closed in the usual manner.
