OBITUARY
MR JOHN SLATER, M.P. (United Press Association—By Eleetrio Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 16th February. The sudden death occurred of Mr John Slater, Conservative M.P. for Eastbourne. He collapsed after making a speech at an Eastbourne dinner. 'He had large interests in coal, cotton, iron and was reputed to be a millionaire.
