REMOVAL OF NAME FROM ROLL
APPLICATION FOR REINSTATEMENT (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. •■■■ In the Supreme Court to-day Oswald Machattie, of Auckland, formerly a Napier Baptist minister, applied for a mandamus commanding the Baptist Union of New Zealand to reinstate his name on the official list of ministerial members of the Union. He submitted the removal of his name was irregular and void. The defence was that Machattie’s name was removed cosntitutionally. Legal argument is proceeding.
