COMMUNITY' SING AND DANCE
The school committee at l'oxhill announce that Mr Percy James will stage a community sing to be followed by a home made supper and .Merrymakers’ Dance at the schoolroom this Saturday evening, the funds from which will he (revoted to ensure the very necessary alterations lo the dance floor in the schoolroom. Mr Clarrie l.ec and ineiii-
hers of his orchestra will contribute items in addition to supplying the music for the dance, and several vocalists and elocutionists well known to the musical public have' volunteered their services for this occasion. The entertainment will commence punctually at 8 p.rn. and the dance will hold the floor from 10.15 p.m. It is anticipated quite a number of visitors from Nelson and surrounding districts will attend as the last i'unctiuii of this kind was greeted with a large audience and the entertainment was quite the most satisfying held in l'oxhill for some years.
