Budge defeated Jess Hillman 9-7, 1-0, 0-2, 3-0, 0-2. Perry defeated Lott 0-0, 0-4, 0-2. Van Ryu meets Perry, Budge plays Stoefen or Mako. Miss Josephine Cruickshank defeated Miss James 0-0, 0-4.. Mrs Ethel Arnold (Los Angeles) defeated Miss Nuthall 0-2, 8-0. Budge and Mako defeated Perry and Wilde 3-0, 0-3, 0-4. Misses Nuthall and Janies defeated Misses Dorothy Bundy and Dorothy Robinson 0-2, 7-5. Misses Stammers and Jane Sharp (Pasanada) defeated Mrs Carol Bartosh and Miss Dorothy Hunt both of Los Angeles, 0-3, 0-2. Misses Ryan and Carolyn Babcock (Los Angeles) defeated Miss Grace Wheeler (Santa Monica) and Mrs Arnold 4-0, 0-0, 0-3 Stoeffen defeated Mayo 7-5, 8-6, 9-7. In the semi-finals, Miss Stammers defeated Miss Babcock 6-1, 6-1, Mrs Ethel Arnold defeated Miss Josephine Cruickshank 7-5, 4-6, 6-3. Allison and Van Ryn entered the [ finals, defeating Shields and Mirelheiseii 6-4, 6-4, 7-5. In the semi-finals, Kirby ancl Miss James defeated Menzel and Miss Bunddy 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, Wilde and Miss Stammers defeated Perry and Miss Nuthall 8-6, 7-5. PROFESSIONAL MATCH (Received 24th September. 1.20 p.m.) BERLIN, 23rd September. A tennis match has been arranged between von Cramm and Neusslein for the world professional championship. The date has not yet been decided.
