TO COMBAT FASCISM
— TRADES UNION CONGRESS SECRET WAR URGED (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received sth September, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, 4th September. Mr Walter Citrine (secretary) addressing the Trades Union Congress, urged a secret war against Fascism abroad. He emphasised the inadvisability of allowing Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini to know the procedure adopted and urged vigilaiv i in connection with the British Fascism Congress. It was resolved to recommend tlie general council to do its utmost to combat Fascism and prevent the militarisation of politics.
