japan and Yorkshire COMPETE RANGE OF PRICES (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 4th September. At the woolsales 0098 bales were offered and 4000 sold, also 1314 privately. Good competition came from Japan and Yorkshire' and fair support from France and Germany. The market was about equal to yesterday’s auction. Greasy Merino sold to laid for 15 hales from Ashley. Figures secured for tho Western District clip of average G4’s to 70’s quality, showing good length but carrying some dust and vegetable fault, were as follows: ewes IGRI to IBJd; wethers, 19d to 12d; broken 14|d to ll£d; pieces 11 Jd to Bfd; bellies 10M to 7d.
