FLOOD DAMAGE
DESTRUCTION IN BIHAR . 270 SQUARE MILES AFFECTED (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Gopyrignt) (Received sth September, 10.25 a.m.) CALCUTTA, 4th September. Some idea of tlie damage done in Bihar by the recent floods may be gathered from a communique issued from Ranchi to-day. It states that in the Dinapor subdivision alone tlie area affected was 270 square riiiles, 256 villages were inundated, and 6500 houses destroyed.
