NEW ZEALAND'S LOYALTY
IMPRESSION CONVEYED TO KING
AUCKLAND, 3rd September. “The wonderful exhibition of loyalty, both among the citizens and in the press of New Zealand,” noted by /Sir John Sandeman Allen, a. member of the House of Commons, on his recent visit to the Dominion, was conveyed tc King George by Sir John at a garden party at Buckingham Palace. In a- letter to the “New Zealand Herald,” Sir John states: “His Majesty honoured me with an interview, when 1 had an opportunity of telling him of the 4 wonderful exhibition of loyalty both among my hearers and in the press, when I explained to the people of New Zealand not merely the wonderful recovery Great Britain had made since the National Government came into power, but the perfectly' constitutional assistance given by the King in the hour of our dire need. His Majesty was very much touched, and said he knew knew from other sources how perfectly loyal the people of New Zealand were.”
