PING-PONG

An interesting ping- pong match took place at Briglitwater between two teams from* Stoke and Briglitwater, twelve aside. Some excellent and very exciting games took place. The ladies were very evenly matched, the result 'of their games being 18 games each. Briglitwater ladies won on points 971-949. Stoke men were defeated by 27 games to 9 and the points were 1034-783. At the conclusion of the match cheers were exchanged for the respective teams and a return match will be played at Stoke shortly. An excellent supper was provided by the home team and was much enjoyed by the visiting team.
