TO-DAY’S TEST MATCH
STORM AT SYDNEY KILBY NOT PLAYING (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) * SYDNEY, 10th August. The referee for the Test will be Mr Cooney, who officiated at the Orange and the first New South Wales games. There was a severe storm this evening and rain is continuing. (Received 11th August, 10.5 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. Kilby’s knee injury is more troublesome than was first' anticipated, and he will not play in the Test to-day. Comer will replace him. Kilby is in bed and has been advised to remain m Sydney for treatment and complete rest. It is not expected, therefore, that he will go to Queensland with the rest of the team to-morrow night. It is not certain whether the cartilage has been affected. The weather for to-day’s game is overcast, and the forecast is for heavy rain. In fact flood warnings have been issued by the Weather Bureau. Heavy rain is ‘ expected on the coast and inland. During the next thirty-six hours, says the official report, there will be gales, heavy seas, and prospects of flooded rivers along the coast.
