NO ACTION TAKEN At yesterday’s meeting of the Waimea County Council the Westport Boi-ough Council’s circular letter asking support of its protest against the extension ol the life of Parliament, beyond three years, was received. A letter was also received from L. Clare, Christchurch, on behalf of South Island promoters, forwarding a subscription list and form of petition praying that His Excellency the Governor-General will dissolve Parliament at the end of the 1934 session. No action was taken, the correspondence being received, without discussion.
