AVIATION NOTES

NORTH ISLAND MACHINES CALL AT NELSON Two ’planes arrived at Nelson from Takaka at 9.50 o’clock on Thursday, ZK—AAV owned by the Wellington Aero Club and flown by Flight-Lieuten-ant G. B. Bolt, and ZK—AAB, owned by the Hawkes Bay and East Coast Aero Club and flown by the club’s instructor, Flying Officer A. G. Gerrand. The Hawkes Bay machine took Airs G. Richmond, of Takaka, as passenger from Wellington to Takaka, while the other machine carried Mrs East as passenger. Both machines refuelled at the Nelson Club’s aerodrome and left for Wellington at 10.20 o’clock.
