COTTON CROP IN AMERICA SMALLEST FDR 38 YEARS (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Bth August. The Bureau of Agricultural Economics officially estimated the cotton crop for the year ending 31st July, 1935, will amount to 9,195,000 bales. This figure is 3,852 bales fewer than last year’s crop. If the estimate proves correct it will be the smallest crop since 1896, as several of the greatest producing States have been hit through the drought.
