Trebitch Lincoln, now Chao Kung, a Buddhist monk, arrived at Liverpool aboard the Duchess of York, accompanied by five men and five women disciples from China, via Canada. Lincoln was refused permission to remain because bis deportation order was not cancelled. He was detained while his followers, who refused to desert him, were placed in a boarding house pending tho return of the whole party from the Far East.
