DAIRY INDUSTRY
ATTITUDE OF BRITAIN THE OTTAWA AGREEMENT (Unite.d Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 20th April. Mr Stanley Bruce’s speech at Canberra. in conjunction with Mr G. W. Forbes’s definition of the attitude of dairying industry in New Zealand, are regarded as significant in political circles. While Britain has no intention of varying the Ottawa'Agreements in regard to dairy produce, except by agreement, the tact remains that the meat obligations will end on 30th June, involving prior negotiations with the Dominions. which may provide an opportunity of raising at the same time the question of dairy imports.
