NEW SUBSIDY SCHEME SEVERE BLOW TO BRITAIN LONDON, Ist April. Spain is dealing a severe blow at uusubsidised British -Shipping with an ambitious programme of State aid to the mercantile marine, correspondent of the “Daily Mail at Barcelona. _ The programme includes the estaulishment of 15 regular commercial lines and provides for credits o] £2,000,000 for building and establishing weekly services to London and elsewhere m Britain, making 780 calls a year. F rench and Italian shipping subsidies already amount to £9,000,000 a year each.
