MAIN HIGHWAYS
SOUTH ISLAND TOUR The Main Highways Board, which already lias visited a part of the South Island, will visit the other part towards the end of the present month. The members of the hoard will arihe in Christchurch on Friday, 20th Apirl and leave the same day for North Canterbury and afterwards will visit Marlborough, Nelson and Westland, reaching Christchurch again on Monday, 30th April. Following are the details of tlie itinerary of the board: Friday, 20tli April: Arrive in Christchurch, subsequently meet Cheviot and Kaikoura County Councils. Saturday, 21st April: Meet Awatere County Council at Seddon, and the Blenheim and Pic.ton Borough Councils, Marlborough County Council, and Automobile Association at Blenheim. Leave for Nelson. Sunday, 22iul April: At Nelson. Monday, 23rd April: Meet Motueka Borough Council at Motueka; Collingwood and Takaka County Councils at Takaka, and Waimea County and Richmond Borough Councils, Taliunanui Town Board and Nelson Automobile Association at Nelson. Tuesday, 21th April: Leave for Murchison and there meet Murchison County Council, Leave for Westport. Wednesday, 25th April: Visit Karamca. . Thursday, 20th April: Meet Westport Borough and Bailor County Councils at Westport; Inaugalma County Council at Reefton; Grey County and Runanga and Brunner Borough Councils, Cohdcn Town Board and Automobile Association at Greymouth. Friday, 27th April: Depart for Kumara and there meet Kmnara Borough and Westland County Councils and Automobile Association at Hokitika; visit Dorothy Falls Road. Saturday, 28 th April: Leave for Ross Weheka, and Waiho, and meet Ross Borough Council at Ross. Sunday. 2f)tlV April: Leave Waiho for Hokitika. _ Monday. 30th Wrih Leave Hokitika for Bealey and thence to Christchurch, meeting Taweia Comity Council at Springfield eu route.
