MOTORING MISHAP
CAR SKIDS ON BITUMEN VERANDAH CARRIED AWAY (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Following the carrying away of a corner verandah post by a skidding car m Lower Ilutt two more posts gave way and the full length of the verandah along three shops crashed, smashing ft large window and the ianlignts ot the corner premises—those of McLaren and Nisbet, estate agents. Other places affected were those occupied by J. UYoung, pastrycook , and the l skide Rubber shop.' The mishap occurred at an early hour this morning, .the car driven bv E. F. Emerson, turning completely round on the wet bitumen surface. ‘ None of the occupants were injured and the car was little damaged.
