LORD RUTHERFORD PLEASED (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. A letter has been received by Mr Aston, president of tlie New Zealand Royal Society, from Lord Rutherford, indicating his glad acceptance of the award of the first summertime medal and prize. In a footnote he recalls that the New Zealand Institute published lus first research—“Tlie magnetization of iron by high frequency discharges”— in 1894. He says: “Please convey to the members of your Royal Society inv sincere and grateful thanks for this sigmu honour to an old New Zealander.
