EjUtMEIIS’ SCHEME IN OT/SOO

DUNEDIN, 9th Aprli. The Clutha branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union lias decided to initiate a voluntary health insurance scheme in South Otago, and to impress upon the Government the necessity for a national compulsory scheme. The Hospital Boards’ Association and the Minister of Health advised that there was no obstacle to a voluntary scheme being initiated if sufficient interest were stimulated.
