CHRISTCHURCH, Bth April

Simon Brophv, aged 41, was found in a small room adjoining the bar at the Royal Hotel on Friday, with his throat” cut. and a razor lying lie side him. He was taken to the Public’Hospital, where he died last evening.

All inquest was lielcl to-day before the Coroner, .Mr H. A. Young, who re - turned a verdict that Brophy dic'd Irom a wound self-inflicted while suffering from epileptic tits. Papers found on Brophy indicated that his last address was the Public Works Department camp at Lake Sunnier.
