BOILED SHIRTS AND SOVIET LONDON, 2Gth March. If the acreage of still’ shirts entertained by its diplomatic representatives is a fair criterion, the Soviet is advancing. Last night’s reception given by the Ambassador to Britain, M. Maisky, is described as the best-dressed function yet held at the Russian Embassy in London. Even Left Wing supporters were fautlessly attired, and no Conservative committed the previous error of appearing in a red tie. The entertainment included a Soviet film of tile epic journey of the icebreaker Sibiarakoll from Archangel to Yhulivostoek in ]0"- and also a film of Stalin taking the salute at the November celebrations of the anniversary of the Revolution, which produced I some applause.
