WATER FROM RODING

ATTITUDE OF TAHUNA, STOKE AND RICHMOND OFFER OF £ISOO ANNUALLY In connection with the Hume Pipe Company’s proposal for a district water supply from the Roding river, upon which the local bodies concerned held a conference last week, the Richmond Borough, Tahunanui Town Board, and Stoke riding of the Waimea County, have made a combined offer to contribute £ISOO annually. This was the reply received at Last night’s meeting of the City Council, to a request that the associated local bodies state the financial assistance they would give in respect to the major scheme. The letter was received and filed pending the City Engineer’s report on the Roding scheme.
