SIXTH ANNUAL COMPETITION [By Telegraph —Press Association] AUCKLAND, This Day. The results of the sixth annual competitions in practical journalism, conducted by the New Zealand Journalists’ Association are announced. The first prize is awarded to Mr L. 0. Marris, of the “Christchurch Sun,” and the second prize to Mr E. Axford, of the “New Zealand Herald.” The conditions of the competition were altered this year, the entrants being required to submit four articles representing the full range of journalistic work. The judges were Mr Percy Bell, of the “Dunedin Evening Star,” and Professor G. E. Thompson, Professor of Modern Languages at the University of Otago.
