NATIONAL MUTUAL LIFE
STRONG POSITION MAINTAINED New business written bv the National Mutual Life Association for tho year ended 30th September, 1933, amounted to £7,577,445, being £1,027,784 in excess of that written for the previous year. The total income was £4,662,814, which included £3,238,307 for premiums and £1,424,507 (after deduction of rates and taxes amounting to £292,090) for interest. The total amount paid to policyholders or their representatives during the year was £3,043,708. The total assurances in force at the end of the year amounted to £85,559,573. As the result of tho year’s transactions the sum of £1,214,891 was added to tlie Assurance Fund, which amounted to £36,243,174 at the close of the year. The Investment Reserve Fund was also added to and now amounts to £776,244. Bonus certificates showed reversionary bonuses allotted to policies for the policy year current at 39th September, 1933, will bo issued in March, 1934.
