ARISING OUT OF NAPIER EARTH* QUAKE INTERESTING JUDGMENT (By Telegraph—Press Association) NAPIER, This Day. An interesting judgment of the Court of Arbitration holds that employers are liable for compensation where employees are killed or injured by falling debris outside the premises where they are em ployed while .attempting to escape lulling an earthquake. The Court decided that a person was acting in the course of his employment *in attempting to leave a threatened building. The Court, to-day concluded a lengthy sitting at Napier during which it heard a number of earthquake compensation claims brought following the Privy Council decision.
