Marris of "Tlie Mail”; J. Wigzell and N. Austin (Horticultural Society) and G. Wearing, kern .Society. The chief mourners were the four sons of the late Mr Simpson, and Mr Geo. Simpson, of Wanganui, the only brother. As the, cortege passed "The Mail’’ premises on its way to the Wakupuaka Cemetery, the machinery was stopped and the staff stood outside in silence as a last mark of respect. The Rev. das. Hay conducted a brief service at the late residence of Mr Simpson and also officiated at the graveside. Tlie Rechabite service was read by P.C R. Bro. H. Sharp.
