NELSON MALE VOICE CHOIR

THIRD CONCERT NEXT WEDNESDAY

On Wednesday next tlie 6th December the Male Voice Choir will give its third and final concert of tlie season in the School of Music.

Tlie programme has been selected from the works of well-known composers, and the varied character of tlie compositions to be presented, should appeal to a wide circle of lovers of vocal music.

Longfellow’s poem “The Nun of Nidaros” set- to music by Dudley Buck is a melodious yet dramatic work that should find favour, while “Tlie Goslings” (J. Frederick Bridge) and “Maiden Fair O Reign to Tell” (J. Haydn) are two tunc-lul numbers m lighter vein, and in keeping • with the season of the year an ancient Christmas Carol “In Dulci Jubilo” arranged by John E. West will be rendered.

In addition to numbers by the full choir, tlie programme will include quartettes, solos, and instrumental items, the whole assuring an evening of real musical entertainment. Tickets can be obtained from members of tlie choir and are also on sale at Messrs Beg gaud Co. Ltd. where seats may be reserved without extra charge.
