AN EXCITING FINISH WOODFULL’S CENTURY (United Press Aesociation-By Electric Telegraph-Copyright) SYDNEY. 28th November. In the testimonial cricket match New South Wales in the second innings lost four for 390 declared. Bowling: Ebeling took two for 87, Ohilvcrs two for 95, Nash none for 57, Lee none for 67, Darling none for 45, Bromley none lor 33. The rest of Australia in the second innings lost eight for 409 (Woodtull 129, Ponsford 9, O’Brien 44, Darling 77, Nitschko 76, Bromle.v 42, Lee 0, Nash not out- 20, Ebeling 1, Chilvers not out0, extras 11). Bowling: McCabe took one tor 49, Hill two for 83, Mair none for 84, O’Reilly none for 53, Howell none for 53, Bradman one for 30, Rowe one for 36, Ivippax three for 10. The Rest of Australia won by two wickets and one run. The weather was fine but the wicket was on the slow side. Woodfull’s, Darling’s, and Nitschke’s batting and Kippax’s bow - ing were features of the match which had an exciting finish. The gate receipts for the match were £I7OO. It is anticipated that at least £SOO each will go to Collins, Kcllaway, and Andrews. To-day’s gate was only £9B.
