NOT A COMMUNIST
PROFESSOR EINSTEIN CAMOUFLAGED PROPAGANDA (United Press Association By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 18lh September, b. 05 a.m.) LONDON, 17tji September. Professor Einstein in a letter to the newspapers says: "Like other intellectuals who feel it their duty to serve in the cause of human progress, 1 have been the victim of misunderstanding of the true objects of certain organisations which arc really only camoullaged propaganda in the service of Russian despotism. In ignorance of the true purpose I allowed the Workers’ International and an antiwar movement to use my name, but I have never favoured Communism. My opinion is that any power must bo an enemy to mankind which enslaves the individual by terror, whether under the Fascist or the Communist Hag. All that is valuable to human society Spends upon the opportunity of development accorded to the individual.
