Tlie members of tlie crew of the inter-state steamer Aeon, who have been working for six months or more, gave the owners 24 hours’ notice that they intend to allow unemployed members of the Seamen’s Union to take their places for a month. The rationing scheme, confirmed by a special meeting of the Seamen’s Union was thus put into effect.
