MAN KILLED AT RAILWAY STATION
INQUEST ADJOURNED

STRATFORD, This Day
The inquest into the death of Frank Richie, single, aged 34 years, who was killed at Whanga'moinona, being run over by a train, was adjourned for further inquiries. The evidence showed that deceased left Kohuratahi relief camp with the intention of joining the midnight goods train at Whangamomona for Stratford. No one is on duty at Whangamomona station when th e 'train passes through, and no one eaw the accident. While shunting was being carried out, a passenger strolled along the platform, and heard groans. .He drew the guard’s attention, and deceased was found wedged between the truck wheels and the station, platform, badly injured, fie was extricated witji difficulty and was removed to Stratford, where he died, before the train arrived.
