MIAMI OUTRAGE
MR CERMAK’S DEATH ZANGARA SENTENCED TO DEATH (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 11th March, 8.35 a.m.) MIAMI, 10th March. Zangara was to-day sentenced to death in the electric chair for the murder of Mr Cerniak, by circuit Judge Ulv O. Thompson. After the sentence Zangara shouted: “You give me the electric chair. I’m not afraid of that chair. You’re one of the capitalists. You is a crook man to put me in the electric chair. I’m no care.” Deputies rushed Zangara- out as he shrieked the last sentence. Spectators were held in the courtroom until tlie prisoner was removed to the elevator carrying him to the gaol. Under Florida law the execution date will he fixed by the Governor and officials of the State penitentiary.
