BUSH FIRES IN VICTORIA
FIVE THOUSAND ACRES OF FOREST DESTROYED

(Received 15th February, 10.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. A hush fire with an eight miles front destroyed 5000 acres of Stale forests near Lancefield, and has now approached within half a mile of grazing lands. Settlers are fearful. A sclioolhouse has been burnt down.
