The Prime Minister and other Ministers were among many prominent figures in national life present at a memorial service at Westminster Abbey to Mr John Galsworthy. Tlie Dean of Westminster described Mr Galsworthy’s life as freely spent in helping those in need, and in the cause of peace and goodwill, and said that his work enriched the reputation and influence of English literature throughout the civilised world.
