EXCURSION TO MILFORD SOUND
ENJOY'ABLE TRIP

WELLINGTON, This Day.
The Union Company’s Monowai returned this morning from an excursion to the west coast fiordland with 270 passengers. Perfect weather was experienced and every detail of the itinerary was carried out. The Monowai left Wellington on Monday night. During the run down the west coast on Tuesday visibility w T as excellent and views were obtained of Mount Cook and the Franz Josef glacier. The steamer entered Milford Sound on Wednesday morning and parties landed to visit Bowen falls.
The Monowai proceeded south and visited Bligh and George sounds, returning to Milford late in the afternoon. The voyage up the coast on Thursday was occupied with a sports carnival. A call was made at Pelorus sound in the atfernoon and a fancy dress dance was , held at night. Captain Davey received an address of appreciation signed by all the passengers.
