CHURCH EXTENSION FUND (By Telegraph—Press) Association) CHRISTCHURCH, 11th October. Tlie Baptist Union 'Conference decided to-day that the assembly appoint a denominational evangelist and that the executive committee present details of the scheme to a later meeting of the assembly. It was reported that a special jubilee fund for church extension had been formed with an initial gift of £SOO from the Auckland Tabernacle. Moneys in the fund will be lent to the churches free of interest. A committee of five is to be appointed to administer the fund.
