INQUIRY INTO PERFORMING RIGHTS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received Ist September, 9.15 a.m.) ' CANBERRA, 31st August. The Attorney-General, Mr Latham, announced in the House of Representatives that the Government had decided to appoint Mr Justice Owen, who recently retired from the New' South Wales Supreme Court Bench, a Royal Commissioner to inquire into and make recommendations on the question of the performing rights in copyright works.
