A message from Copalis Beach, Wash-, ington, states that Nat Browne, of NewYork, to-day lifted his all-metal monoplane, in which he hopes to fly to Japan, with a load of five thousand pounds fromthe beach after a mile and quarter run,t using sandbags for Weight. He hopes to complete the tests with 7500 pounds,' which is approximately the weight of fuel that will be required for the pros-' pective flight. He is returning to Seattle before Sunday to instal a large fuselage fuel tank which will hold 800 gallons.
