PAYNE DEFEATED ON POINTS (United PreßS Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 12th August. In a boxing contest at the Stadium, Walker (13st lllbs) defeated Payne on points. It was not an interesting bout and the decision was unpopular. Payne was more aggressive at the start. Walker was repeatedly told by the referee to- fight, and was cautioned for holding on to the ropes.
