SULSOL—Colloidal S«lph«* The particles of active substance in SULSOL are pure sulphur, but many thousand times smaller in volume than those of dusted sulphur. It is the fineness of division which accounts for many of the special properties of Sulsol. The minute particles remain suspended indefinitely in the spray fluid, and are carried wherever this fluid can reach. They are proportionate in size to the organisms they have to destroy, and penetrate into the midst of the mass of fungus threads, whilst the particles of many sulphurs merely touch the outer surface. The micro-diagrams below, which are drawn exactly to scale, 300 times full size, illustrate these effects. tl SULPHUR. SULSOL. It is evident that the particles of sulphur in Sulsol have less tendency to be dislodged by the wind and rain, that their contact with the fungus is altogether more intimate and that the total quantity of sulphur necessary with Sulsol is enormously less than is the case with the more coarse grained sulphurs.
