WEEK-END GAMES During the week-end teams matches were played with both the Stoke and Motueka Clubs, that with Motueka being the second and final of the season for the Teams Cup. In both series Nelson were successful by a substantial margin. The results were as follows: V. Stoke—Elliott and Davis beat Bartlett and E. Vercoe; Thomas and G. Dodds beat Potter and McClune; Masefield and Loggatt beat Morris and Thornton; McLaren and Trent junr. beat Langbein and Dee; Goodman and Warring beat Thomason and Chisnall; Robertson and Dawson beat Black and Mason.
V. Motueka—Elliott and Burrell beat Heath and Drugemuller; P. Moore and Haifa beat Pettigrew and Spencer Smith; I Dodds and Coote beat Stringer and Painter; Sinclair and Harley beat Stratford and Pocklington; West and McLaren beat Stillwell and Rogers; Fletcher and Mitchell all square with Thor)) and Webley. Elliott beat Heath, Burrell beat Drogemuller, P. Moore beat Pettigrew, Ralfe beat Spencer Smith, Fletcher beat Thorp, Sinclair beat Stratford. Harley beat Pocklington, McLaren beat Stilwell, West beat Rogers, I. Dodds lost- to Stringer, Coote lost to Painter Mitchell and Webley all square.
