“ARE YOU LISTENING?” REGENT, 10-NIGHT William Haines again proves that he is one of the finest dramatic artists on the screen in Metro-Golchvyn-Mayer’s “Are You Listening?” which is now at the Regent Theatre. His role is that of an unhappily married radio sketch writer, with the love of another woman adding to his complexities. “I’vo always wanted to do a really strong dramatic role,” says William Haines. “Then, when I was assigned to this picture, I found I had to cope with something quite new. ... I hope everyone will like it. At least, nobody can say that I haven’t striven to give the impersonation of my career.” Though playing a straight dramatic role, William Haines never lost his whimsical sense of humour. The lighter touches he imparts adds tremendously to the humanness of the story. Supporting Haines is his new production are Madge Evans, Karen Morley, John Miljan, Jean Ilersholt, Anita Rage, Wallace Ford, Joan Marsh, and Neil Hamilton.
