COALITION CANDIDATE (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The candidature of Mr Ned Parata for the Southern Maori seat at the by-elec-tion necessitated through the death of Mr T. Makitanara was announced by Mr Forbes. Mr Parata will stand as a Coalitionist. So far the writ authorising the byelection has not been received by the returning officer in Christchurch, Mr Sansom, although it is understood that polling will be fixed for a fairly early date.
