IN ORDER TO REORGANISE , S'- : p 1-.< v «• i SOUTH WAJRARAPA’S LOSSES *(By Telegraph-Press Association) CARTERTON, 30th June. The South VVairarapa' Trotting Club at a. special gen'erab ’ meeting held at Greytown 'last night decided to disband in order to reorganise. After' the last meeting a severe loss was experienced. Application was made for a full 2j per cent, totalisator tax rebate, which vyas granted. After the payment of various accounts the club has £33 left with which to pay the' Carterton Racing Club £lO6. There' is some £3O still owing to the Trotting Gliib for' outstanding fees. It- was' decided to take steps to get these in. ' Tho position now is that all the club officers, including the secretary, are out of office, but- the secretary intimated his willingness to carry on till the next meeting without payment. 'He is also foregoing the present month’s salary in the interests of the club.
The next meeting to reorganise the club will be held on the last Wednesday in July. In the meantime a vigorous canvass of the district for members is to be carried out, Prosnects for the reorganisation of the club" are considered bright.
