RUTHLESS WITH ENEMIES MOSCOW, 9th June. “I am only a disciple of Lenin. I hope lam worthy of him. Peter the Great was a mere drop in the ocean. Lenin was the whole ocean,” declared M. Stalin, Soivet loader, in an interview with Ilerr Emil Ludwig, the historian. M. Stalin explained that the Soviet was ruthless with its enemies because it found that leniency only intensified resistance. Herr Ludwig suggested that a large proportion of Russians were filled with a sense of fear M. Stalin: “You are mistaken. Could wo have maintained our power for 14 years by intimidation? They are in tolerant of one-man rule." Heroes become zeroes directly they lose touch with the working classes.”
