AN ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME

ENTERTAINMENT AT MAJESTIC TO-MORROW NIGHT

A final reminder is given of the excellent entertainment to be offered at the Majestic Theatre to-morrow night. The two plays to be produced are of distinct types both as regards settings and characters. The action in “ ’Op o’ Me Thumb” takes place in very prosaic surroundings—a laundry—and the story is built on the efforts of an undersized, unattractive little drudge, the butt of all the other girls, who trys to extract some romance from her drab environment. Her hero “ ’Orace,” is a typical Cockney as are most of the other characters. “Mr Sampson” strikes a different note, but still very English, the scene being a kitchen in a West Country 'coLlage. The story concerns two elderly spinsters and an elderly bachelor, and tells how the malicious tongue of scandal affects their quiet pleeid lives. In addition to the plays several concert items will be presented, and Miss Flett’s orchestra will render the incidental music.

The entire production is in the capable hands of Mrs Parker and Miss Nevin, and an evening of real enjoyment is assured. Those who have not booked their seats are advised to dp so. The box plan is at the Majestic Confectionery.
